Some nice Rainbows from last month sent in from D. Rogers, photos that is. Son Cole got a 17″ and son Jake a 23″, both on dry flies.
This is prime time for dry fly fishing and the Snake is one of the best. Dry fly fishing with a barbless hook and proper net potentially affords the angler a cleaner catch & release with out handling the fish in the summer time conditions. And this year, fish in the 13-18″ are common given the number of fishing reports in July and August.
Allen Hall – Caught this beautiful Rainbow August 17, 2021 at Horseshoe Falls using a hopper with a Prince Nymph dropper. It took the Prince. Estimated at 22″ from how it laid in the net. Hard to get good picture when fishing alone and it takes 2 hands to handle a whopper.
