Per AID manager Lance Philben, irrigation is expected to end September 22 (+/- day).The dam will be shut off and the pipes drained and allowed to dry over 2 weeks. AID expects to get into the pipes Oct. 7th +/- and recoat the pipe and allow to cure. Dam releases may not start right on OCTOBER 15th, but could start 7-10 days later as repairs allow.
Once dam releases begin, the flow is likely to remain at 50 cfs over a number of weeks given how low Merritt reservoir is this year. So, keep an eye out.
