UPDATE – 2025 Fall Schedule for Merritt Dam Releases

Fall releases are expected to happen anywhere from Oct. 6 to Oct. 15th , most likely on the early side. The reservoir is 4 feet down and raising around 2-3 inches a day. Once they start releases, it will be full bypass of water.

Thanks Pat. Question: Does full bypass mean 200-300 cfs right away or are they stepping it up 50 cfs at a time as they did last year?

So, they will ramp up 50 cfs per 4-6 hours until the flow out matches the flow in. The reservoir will be full in 1 or 2 days, so no extended 50 cfs like in prior years.
